Brochures

The printed supplement to any advertising campaign

Brochures in DIN A4 format are often used to support event brand related campaigns. Besides advertisement related content, they often contain numbers, infographics and statistics supported by photography.

On cover pages, the cube system is applied on a full-area background image. The implementation of two-colour brands in the Product Cube as well as the use of two brands for two events taking place in tandem are explained in “Basics” under “Cube system”.

On inside pages, we do not use the Corporate Cube and Product Cube. For the layout of inside pages, the cube system can be interpreted more freely.

Essentials

  • On cover pages: the cube system is applied on a full-area key visual or a key visual section.
  • Corporate Cube, Product Cube (with date and location of event), Communication Cube, Messe Frankfurt logotype
  • Corporate Cube: coloured symbol on a white background (print files in the Corporate Brand Logo Box)
  • Product Cube: second-largest cube, smaller than Communication Cube
  • Colour of Product Cube: as a rule of thumb, the event brand colour is used at 100% opacity. That being said, it is possible to use the campaign (e.g. from the key visual) or secondary colour.
  • Communication Cube: largest cube (with the “reason why”, the communicative message)
  • Colour of Communication Cube: white with a slight translucency (we recommend 85%; with very “busy” visuals, reduce the translucency; with “calm” visuals increase accordingly)
  • Messe Frankfurt logotype: separated from the symbol and aligned with one of the image or text axes. It can be positioned freely. Used in white/black/MF dark grey, depending on visual (print files in the Corporate Brand Logo Box).
  • On both front and inside pages: all cubes touch on one side, but are not flush with each other and may not be placed corner to corner. Cubes may have one side at maximum in the bleed; they may not be placed in the format corners.
  • Size of Additional Cube: smaller than the Product and Communication Cube.
  • For more detailed information on minimum sizes, grid units, etc. see template.

Options

  • On cover pages: Additional Cube, Partner Cube (events), Partner Cube (organisers)
  • The cube sizes, arrangement and positioning is flexible and can be adjusted according to the key visual (recommended minimum sizes see template).
  • On inside pages: indirect, non-visible cubes created using shape setting can also be used, as well as photos, infographics or illustrations. Images on inside pages can be created as squares/cubes, but do not have to be.
  • A maximum of five “design” cubes are used on one double page; single cubes are also possible.
