Direct, fast and diverse: social networks
Social media are among the most important, fastest and most direct channels of communication. They are used in many different ways: for sharing photos and videos, for advertisements or for making business contacts. In any case, they reach a broad target group and promote our company.
By applying our imagery style, Messe Frankfurt can achieve a uniform presentation on the various channels. We provide you with the banner formats for the social media channels currently used. We also point out characteristics that apply to individual platforms.
Essentials
- Image focus: on some social media channels, with the exception of X, title images are cropped. Here, the desktop view is wider than the mobile view. It is therefore important to ensure that the focus of the image is in the centre or in the marked are (see examples in the slider).
- Facebook banner format: 940 x 522 pixels. When using images with people, a distance of 90 pixels from the upper edge of the image must be ensured. If this is not observed, parts of the head area may be hidden on mobile devices.
- X banner format: 1500 x 500 pixels
- YouTube banner format: 2560 x 423 pixels. The image focus must be centred in the 1546 x 423 pixel area.
- LinkedIn banner format: 1128 x 191 pixels as final format. The visible format of LinkedIn banners is 790 x 191 pixels and is aligned flush left (always consider, when creating your LinkedIn banners!).
- Banner motifs: no use of full-size images. Images for banner motifs must fill the space completely. Adapt picture details individually to the respective channel. Do not use cubes in banners, as these are often not displayed correctly due to the cropping.
- Text on banners: no text is applied to banner motifs.
Options
- Banner motifs: freely selectable, by analogy with our imagery style
- Instagram formats: freely selectable, by analogy with our imagery style
- Cube system in individual posts: for communicating key messages, the cube system can be used. However, it is essential that each post is checked in the mobile view (danger of automated cropping).
